Basketball Game Preview: Huntington Red Devils vs. Woodville Eagles

The Huntington Red Devils will venture away from home to challenge the Woodville Eagles at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Huntington is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 63 points last Saturday, they were much more limited against Diboll on Friday. They came up short against the Lumberjacks, falling 48-22. The game marked the Red Devils' lowest-scoring match so far this season.

Meanwhile, Woodville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 45-32 to Central Heights.

Huntington has been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 12-15 record this season. As for Woodville, their defeat was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 13-10.

Huntington was able to grind out a solid victory over Woodville in their previous matchup back in December of 2024, winning 54-43. Does Huntington have another victory up their sleeve, or will Woodville turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
