Cross Creek waltzed into their matchup on Friday with 14 straight wins... but they left with 15. They came out on top against the Westside Patriots by a score of 67-59. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 66-34 two weeks ago.

Westside's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Keori Atwell, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 13 boards, and Dontrell Jackson, who posted 14 points along with seven assists and five rebounds. Those 13 rebounds gave Atwell a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Jarious Adkinson, who went 6 for 14 en route to 15 points.

Cross Creek's win was their seventh straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 19-1. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 67.3 points per game. As for Westside, their loss ended a 14-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 13-8.

Cross Creek and Westside should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Georgia Rankings. Cross Creek will face off against Howard at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday up 364 places (20 vs. 384). Meanwhile, Westside (ranked 110th) will meet Academy of Richmond County (ranked 283rd) at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
