Softball Recap: Prairie Heights Takes a Loss

Prairie Heights had taken Fremont down for two straight games at home, but that winning streak came to an end on Thursday. The Panthers fell 14-9 to the Eagles. If the Panthers were looking for revenge after losing 13-9 to the Eagles when the teams met back in May of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Emma Allen made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI. That home run was her first of the season. Kairi Peterson was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two RBI and one run.

Prairie Heights has been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-15 record this season. As for Fremont, their record now sits at 10-11.

Prairie Heights didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 5-1 loss against Garrett on the 23rd. As for Fremont, they will take on Hamilton at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
