Softball Recap: Hays Hawks vs. Liberty Hill Panthers

Hays took a eight-run defeat the last time they faced off against Liberty Hill, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Hays Hawks sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with an 11-10 victory over the Liberty Hill Panthers on Monday. This was payback for the Hawks, who suffered a 12-4 loss the last time these two teams met.

Hays let Natalia Aleman and Teuila Eteaki run wild. Aleman fired off two home runs while going 3-for-3, while Eteaki went 4-for-5 with one home run, three RBI, and two doubles. What's more, Aleman posted two runs, the most she's had since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Gabriella Lopez, who scored two runs while going 2-for-4.
