Basketball Recap: Burlington Falls Short of South in the Playoffs

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Burlington can now relate to. The matchup between the Burlington Red Devils and the South Colonels didn't end well, with the Burlington Red Devils falling 61-43. While losing is never fun, the Red Devils can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Massachusetts basketball rankings (they are ranked 146th, while the Colonels are ranked 23rd).

Burlington moved to 12-11 with that defeat, which also ended their three-game winning streak. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 54.3 points over those games. As for South, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten games. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-4 record this season.
