Softball Recap: Saddleback Drops Highest Score of Season Against Century

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Saddleback). Everything went their way against the Century Centurions on Friday as they made off with a 22-12 win. The victory was some much needed relief for the Roadrunners as it spelled an end to their eight-game losing streak.

Pricilla Hernandez was incredible, going 4-for-5 with one home run, four runs, and five RBI. Those four runs gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Cassandra Cervantes, who went 2-for-5 with three runs, three RBI, and one double.

Saddleback's win bumped their record up to 3-19. As for Century, their defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 9-12.

Saddleback does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Century, they have already played their next match, a 21-5 loss against Rancho Alamitos on the 5th.
