Baseball Recap: Fredonia Takes a Loss

Fredonia and Cherryvale pushed the score to 17-5 the last time they played Cherryvale, but on Tuesday defenses reigned supreme. The Yellowjackets took a 4-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Chargers. The loss continues a trend for the Yellowjackets in their meetings with the Chargers: they've now lost three in a row.

Fredonia's defeat dropped their record down to 2-10. As for Cherryvale, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 3-10 record this season.

Fredonia will look to defend their home field on May 2 against Neodesha. Cherryvale has already played their next contest (against Baxter Springs), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
