 South East had to endure  a  ten-game losing streak dating back to last season, but that streak is no more. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Bell Eagles  on Friday and snuck past  5-3. This was a revenge  matchup for South East, as the team was forced to settle for  a  7-4 defeat when these two played  last Wednesday.
  Sophia Barragan spent all seven innings played on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned runs on eight hits. Those seven  innings set a new season-high mark for her.
 At the plate,  the team  relied heavily on  Amberly Martinez, who  went 4-for-4 with a  home run, two  triples,  and two  runs. The team also got some help courtesy of  Ruby Gonzalez, who  went 2-for-3 with two  stolen bases and  an  RBI.
 South East's victory  ended  a  five-game drought on the road  dating back to last season and  puts them at 1-10. As for Bell, they have  not been sharp recently as the team has  lost four of their last five contests,  which put a noticeable dent in their 3-10 record  this season.
 Both  teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. After both having extra time off, South East and South Gate will shake off the cobwebs and  take on  one another  at 4:30  p.m.  on April 3rd. South Gate's pitching crew has only allowed 3.3  runs per game  this season, so South East's hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Bell, they will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Huntington Park at 2:30  p.m.  on April 3rd.
