Basketball Recap: Merritt Academy Comes Up Short

Merritt Academy lost a heartbreaker to Star International Academy when they met back in February of 2023, and they left with a heavy heart again on Tuesday. The Merritt Academy Mustangs had to suffer through a 74-30 loss at the hands of the Star International Academy Falcons. The Mustangs lost against the Falcons in their previous head to head back in January of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was even wider than the 27-25 score last time.

Merritt Academy dropped their record down to 2-9 with the loss, which was their third straight on the road. As for Star International Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 10-6.

Merritt Academy will face off against Universal Learning Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Star International Academy, they will square off against Taylor Prep at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
