The South Windsor Bobcats will head out to take on the East Hartford Hornets at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (South Windsor has five straight wins, East Hartford has four straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
South Windsor had to skate by with only a three-point margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the 22-point drubbing they dealt Middletown on Saturday. The Bobcats were the clear victors by a 30-8 margin over the Blue Dragons. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 22-0.

It was another big night for Jalil Montgomery, who rushed for 150 yards and a pair of TDs while picking up 8.8 yards per carry. His rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his fourth straight game with at least 112 rushing yards.
They were just one part of a punishing run game: South Windsor was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 268 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 169 rushing yards in ten consecutive games dating back to last season.
Meanwhile, East Hartford was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Saturday as they fell 38-32 to Bristol Central.
The match pitted two dominant signal callers against one another in Anthony Caravallo and Gabriel Ouellette. Ouellette had a great game and rushed for 217 yards. Meanwhile, Caravallo was balling out in the loss, throwing for 252 yards and four touchdowns while completing 72% of his passes.
East Hartford's loss dropped their record down to 1-6. As for South Windsor, their record is now 5-2.
We should be in store for an exciting game as the two teams have no problem gaining yardage. South Windsor has been on an offensive roll this season, having averaged 359.4 total yards per game. However, it's not like East Hartford struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 371 total yards. With a pair of commanding offenses duking it out, the defenses are going to have their work cut out for them.
South Windsor suffered a grim 28-7 defeat to East Hartford in their previous meeting back in November of 2024. Can the Bobcats avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
