Football Recap: Keenan's Loss Ends Four-Game Winning Streak at Home

Keenan dropped to 2-3 on Friday, ending the team's four-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season. They lost 35-14 to the Orangeburg-Wilkinson Bruins. The Raiders were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Bruins apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in November of 2024.

As for Orangeburg-Wilkinson, their victory bumped their record up to 5-0. The result was nothing new for the Bruins, who have now won four games by 21 points or more so far this season.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Orangeburg-Wilkinson to victory, but perhaps none more so than Brenden Peoples, who threw for 294 yards and a pair of TDs while completing 80% of his passes. The Bruins' leading receiver Daylin Haltiwanger was Peoples' top target yet again, picking up 107 receiving yards and one touchdown.

Coming up, Keenan will square off against Chester at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The Raiders will be up against the Cyclones' rather soft defense (which has allowed 29.2 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Orangeburg-Wilkinson, they will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Fox Creek at 7:00 p.m. on October 3.
