Basketball Recap: Proviso West Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Proviso West, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Saturday. They secured a 50-44 W over the Oak Park-River Forest Huskies on Tuesday. That's more bragging rights for the Panthers, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Despite the loss, Oak Park-River Forest had strong showings from Genevieve Simkowski, who almost dropped a double-double on 13 points and nine steals, and Taryn Draine, who went 6 for 14 on her way to 16 points. That's the most points Draine has posted since back in January. Siena Alfonsi was another key player, putting up two points and five rebounds.
