Basketball Recap: West Delaware Comes Up Short

West Delaware was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They took a 65-46 bruising from the Independence Mustangs. The Hawks were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Mustangs earlier this season, when they won 67-61.

West Delaware's defeat dropped their record down to 4-16. As for Independence, their win bumped their record up to 8-12.

West Delaware wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 69-62 victory against Grinnell on the 11th. As for Independence, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 66-56 loss against Williamsburg on the 11th.
