Shamokin Area put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Lewisburg Green Dragons 38-0. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Indians' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania football rankings (they are ranked 70th, while the Green Dragons are ranked 304th).

Shamokin Area got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Zakem Clinton out in front who rushed for 95 yards and one score.

Shamokin Area's record is now 8-0. As for Lewisburg, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-6.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Shamokin Area will take on Loyalsock Township at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Lewisburg, they will face off against Montoursville at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Warriors' defense has only allowed 11.1 points per game this season, so the Green Dragons' offense will have their work cut out for them.
