Softball Recap: North Saxons vs. Port of Los Angeles Polar Bears

It may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but North ultimately got the result they hoped for on Monday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Port of Los Angeles Polar Bears 5-4. The win was some much needed relief for the Saxons as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

North's victory was truly a team effort as five different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Brooklyn Gilardi, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI.

North's win bumped their record up to 6-9. As for Port of Los Angeles, they now have a losing record of 3-4.

Coming up, North will square off against Granada Hills Charter at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Granada Hills Charter will roll in looking for their seventh straight victory, something North surely won't give up without a fight. As for Port of Los Angeles, they are taking a road trip to face off against Dorsey at 2:30 p.m. on April 3.
