Soccer Recap: Cigarroa Comes Up Short

Cigarroa was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 2-0 to the Palmview Lobos. While losing is never fun, the Toros can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 652nd, while the Lobos are ranked 297th).

Cigarroa's defeat dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Palmview, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 11-4 record this season.

Coming up, Cigarroa will challenge Rio Grande City at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Palmview, they will square off against Juarez-Lincoln at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
