First Baptist Christian is a perfect 3-0 against Lake Area HomeSchool Sports since September of 2024 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. After both having extra time off, the two teams will shake off the rust and duke it out at 5:30 p.m. Considering both teams were shutout in their prior games, the pair is probably coming into this one with something to prove.
First Baptist Christian is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Louisiana's top teams: Acadiana Home School Athletics, who was ranked second at the time (First Baptist Christian was ranked third). The Eagles came up short against the Commandos last Friday, falling 3-0. Surprisingly, this marked the Eagles' third straight game in which the away team has come away the victor.
First Baptist Christian was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Acadiana Home School Athletics work for it, especially in the first set. The match finished with set scores of 26-24, 25-20, 25-22.
Meanwhile, Lake Area HomeSchool Sports was not able to break out of their rough patch two weeks ago as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 3-0 to Midstate Homeschool.
While Lake Area HomeSchool Sports ultimately came up short, they really made Midstate Homeschool work, particularly in the third set. The final score came out to 25-17, 25-15, 26-24.
First Baptist Christian's loss dropped their record down to 5-4. As for Lake Area HomeSchool Sports, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-8.
Everything went First Baptist Christian's way against Lake Area HomeSchool Sports in their previous meeting back in August, as First Baptist Christian made off with a 3-0 victory. Will the Eagles repeat their success, or do the Wildcats have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
