Recap: Stanton Blue Devils vs. Parker Braves
Even though the Stanton Blue Devils have not done well against the Parker Braves recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Wednesday. Stanton walked away with a 46-36 victory over Parker. That's another feather in the cap for Stanton, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Leading Stanton to victory were Raza Cottey and Surafel Cummings. Cottey dropped a double-double on 15 points and 11 rebounds, while Cummings scored 19 points along with 5 steals. Another player making a difference was David Burton, who scored 9 points.
The win got Stanton back to even at 2-2. As for Parker, their loss dropped their record down to 1-1.
Stanton will look to defend their home court on Friday against Atlantic Coast at 7:00 p.m. Atlantic Coast comes in still looking for their first win of the season. As for Parker, they will head out on the road to face off against West Nassau at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
