Recap: Union Rockets vs. Cowan Blackhawks
The Union Rockets's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their fourth straight loss. They took a 41-29 hit to the loss column at the hands of Cowan. Union lost against Cowan in their previous head to head back in November of 2022, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 55-30 score last time.
Despite the loss, Union still got an impressive performance from Glory Ellis, who scored 18 points along with 6 rebounds. Ellis scored a full 62.1% of Union's points, the seventh time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Union's loss dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Cowan, they pushed their record up to 2-6 with that victory, which was their third straight on the road.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Union will take on Cambridge City Lincoln at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Cowan, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Hagerstown at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Hagerstown is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'.
