Basketball Game Preview: Deposit-Hancock vs. Harpursville Hornets

Deposit-Hancock will face off against the Harpursville Hornets at 7:15 p.m. on Monday. One thing working in Deposit-Hancock's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season.

On Thursday, Deposit-Hancock ended up a good deal behind Sidney and lost 85-71. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game two weeks ago (63), Deposit-Hancock still had to take the loss.

Meanwhile, it's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 88-32, which was the final score in Harpursville's tilt against Sidney on Tuesday. The Hornets have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Deposit-Hancock's loss dropped their record down to 6-3. As for Harpursville, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-5.

Everything came up roses for Deposit-Hancock against Harpursville in their previous meeting back in January of 2024, as the squad secured a 70-37 victory. Will Deposit-Hancock repeat their success, or does Harpursville have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
