The DC International Dragons are taking a road trip to challenge the Bishop Ireton Cardinals at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. DC International is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 3.8 goals per game this season.

DC International is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of District of Columbia's top teams: Washington Latin Public Charter School, who was ranked fifth at the time (DC International was ranked first). The Dragons fell just short of the Lions by a score of 2-1 on Friday. Having soared to a lofty five goals in the game before, DC International couldn't push the score so high this time.

Their goal came courtesy of Marti Cagigos, who's now up to five this season.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Bishop Ireton challenged Woodberry Forest on Friday. The Cardinals came up short against the Tigers, falling 3-0. Bishop Ireton have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Bishop Ireton's loss dropped their record down to 1-10. As for DC International, their defeat was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 4-1 and their overall record down to 7-2-2.

DC International took their victory against Bishop Ireton when the teams last played back in September of 2024 by a conclusive 4-0 score. Do the Dragons have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Cardinals turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
