Volleyball Recap: West Forsyth Comes Up Short

West Forsyth and East Coweta squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but West Forsyth had to settle for second. They fell 3-1 to the Indians. The Wolverines just can't catch a break and have now endured three losses in a row.

West Forsyth started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 23-25, 25-21, 25-14, 25-23.

Despite the defeat, West Forsyth saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Charlie Holcomb had 14 digs and two assists. Those 14 digs set a new season-high mark for Holcomb.

Jemison Hawkins had a dynamite game For East Coweta., getting 19 digs. Those 19 digs gave Hawkins a new career-high.

West Forsyth's loss dropped their record down to 18-20. As for East Coweta, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 14-20.

West Forsyth does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for East Coweta, they will face off against Hillgrove at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
