Preview: Crescent Loggers vs. Wishkah Valley Loggers
The Crescent Loggers will look to defend their home court on Thursday against the Wishkah Valley Loggers at 6:30 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Crescent has six straight victories, Wishkah Valley has six straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
Crescent has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four matches by 26 points or more this season. They claimed a resounding 68-18 victory over Lake Quinault on the road. That 68-18 margin sets a new team best for Crescent this season.
Crescent can attribute much of their success to Henry Bourm, who scored 18 points along with five steals, and Lukas Love, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 12 rebounds. The matchup was Love's fourth in a row with at least ten points. Dominiq Sprague was another key contributor, scoring six points along with three steals.
Meanwhile, Wishkah Valley was the victim of a rough 51-27 loss at the hands of Thorp on Friday.
Crescent pushed their record up to 6-1 with that win, which was their third straight on the road. They've been dominating during the matches in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 35 points. As for Wishkah Valley, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.
Everything came up roses for Crescent against Wishkah Valley when the teams last played back in December of 2022 as the squad secured a 69-8 win. Will Crescent repeat their success, or does Wishkah Valley have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
