Volleyball Recap: Gainesville Takes a Loss

Gainesville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 28th straight loss dating back to last season. They came up short against the Blue Ridge Tigers, falling 3-0. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Leopards of the 2-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in August of 2023.

While Gainesville was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the first set. The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 25-14, 25-4.

Gainesville's loss dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Blue Ridge, their win bumped their record up to 7-2.

Looking ahead, Gainesville will square off against Chisum at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Blue Ridge, they will take on Calvary Academy in a tournament on Thursday.
