Softball Recap: Africentric Early College Falls to Briggs in First Game of Season

Africentric Early College unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They came up short against the Briggs Bruins on Monday, falling 29-1. Sadly, the defeat continues a streak the team started last season, making it seven in a row.

Africentric Early College saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Neveah White, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 1-for-2.

The victory got Briggs back to even at 1-1.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Africentric Early College is set to take on their familiar foe Eastmoor Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Briggs will face off against rival Marion-Franklin at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
