Recap: Hornell Red Raiders vs. Warsaw/Letchworth/Perry
The Hornell Red Raiders''s recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fifth straight loss. They took a serious blow against Warsaw/Letchworth/Perry, falling 33-6. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Hornell in their matchups with Warsaw/Letchworth/Perry: they've now lost three in a row.
Brody Flaitz threw for 53 yards on three of six attempts.
Hornell's defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their overall record down to 4-5. Admittedly, the team was facing some tough opposition over that stretch, including 8-1 Attica/Alexander (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 65.3% over those games). As for Warsaw/Letchworth/Perry, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 5-3.
Hornell does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Warsaw/Letchworth/Perry will head out on the road to face off against Attica/Alexander at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Attica/Alexander is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
