Baseball Recap: Shawnee Braves vs. Tecumseh Arrows
Shawnee was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 7-4 to the Tecumseh Arrows. The Braves were not able to make up for their defeat to the Arrows from their previous meeting back in May of 2024.
Joey Ross and Kaiden Roeder did some serious damage despite the final result: Ross scored a run and stole a base while going 3-for-3, while Roeder scored two runs and stole two bases while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. Luke Finnell also deserves some recognition as he scored his first run of the season.
Shawnee's loss dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Tecumseh, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 4-1.
Coming up, Shawnee will be playing at home against Northwestern at 5:15 p.m. on Monday. As for Tecumseh, they will challenge Southeastern Local at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Trojans have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 12.2 runs per game on average), something the Arrows will no doubt try to take advantage of.
