Basketball Recap: Sandia Prep Triumphs

Sandia Prep took a 28-point defeat the last time they faced off against East Mountain, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Sandia Prep Sundevils had just enough and edged the East Mountain Timberwolves out 44-42. That's more bragging rights for the Sundevils, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

The victory made it two in a row for Sandia Prep and bumps their season record up to 8-9. As for East Mountain, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 12-7.

Coincidentally, both will both be playing Cottonwood Classical Prep the next time they take the court. Sandia Prep will host Cottonwood Classical Prep at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, while East Mountain will host them at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
