Meanwhile, Millington Central was able to grind out a solid win over Craigmont on Thursday, taking the game 50-38. The win made it back-to-back wins for Millington Central.
Millington Central found their leader in underclassman Arianna Whiten, who scored 13 points along with two steals. Whiten continues to roll, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Bailey Boone, who scored three points along with nine rebounds and three steals.
Raleigh-Egypt's loss was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 2-9. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 23.0 points per game. As for Millington Central, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine contests, which provided a nice bump to their 11-8 record this season.
Raleigh-Egypt was dealt a bruising 55-20 defeat at the hands of Millington Central when the teams last played on January 9th. The matchup was all but decided by halftime, at which point Raleigh-Egypt was down 42-16.
