Preview: Cherokee vs. Waynoka
Cherokee will look to defend their home turf on Friday against Waynoka at 7:00 PM. If you head out to watch the game, expect to stay the whole 48 minutes : the MaxPreps national rankings predict a close match.
The match between Cherokee and South Barber last Friday was not a total blowout, but with Cherokee falling 26-46, it was darn close.
Meanwhile, Waynoka had to kick off their season on the road, but they showed no ill effects. They were fully in charge, breezing past Deer Creek-Lamont 56-8.
Waynoka's victory lifted them to 1-0 while Cherokee's defeat dropped them down to 1-1. We'll find out if Waynoka can add another positive mark to their record or if Cherokee can shake off the defeat and take the spring out of Waynoka's step.
