Basketball Game Preview: Catalina Foothills Falcons vs. Central Bobcats

The Catalina Foothills Falcons will head out to face off against the Central Bobcats at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Catalina Foothills is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Wednesday. They walked away with a 73-64 win over Desert Mountain. The victory continues a trend for the Falcons in their matchups with the Wolves: they've now won three in a row.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Central, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Wednesday. They simply couldn't be stopped on Wednesday as they easily beat Paradise Valley 85-58. The Bobcats have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 18 matchups by 23 points or more this season.

Catalina Foothills pushed their record up to 20-6 with the win, which was their seventh straight at home. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 69.9 points over those games. As for Central, they are on a roll lately: they've won 15 of their last 16 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 25-3 record this season.
