Softball Game Preview: Gaston Bulldogs vs. Gadsden City Titans

Gaston hasn't had much luck against Gadsden City recently, but that could start to change on Monday. The Bulldogs will challenge the Titans at 4:30 p.m. Gaston has given up an average of 9.8 runs per game this season, but Monday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Thursday just wasn't the day for Gaston's offense. They lost 16-0 to Cedar Bluff on Thursday. The Bulldogs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Gadsden City posted their closest win since March 20th on Thursday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Albertville, sneaking past 2-1. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Titans.

Kiera Hampton was a standout: she went a perfect 2-for-2 with two doubles, one run, and one RBI. That's the most doubles she has posted since back in March. Jalynn Odom was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one triple, two RBI, and one run.

Gaston's loss dropped their record down to 7-13-1. As for Gadsden City, their victory bumped their record up to 9-23.
