Volleyball Recap: Edgewater Snaps Nine-Game Streak of Losses on the Road + How To Watch

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against South Lake, Edgewater was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They won by a set and slipped past the Freedom Patriots 3-2. For the Eagles, this counts as revenge for the 3-0 win the Patriots walked away with the last time they faced one another back in September of 2020.

Edgewater got the W, but it wasn't easy, at least in the first set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 30-32, 25-23, 25-16, 20-25, 15-5.

Jada Huffman paced Edgewater's offense, picking up 11 kills. Huffman got some help from Isiris Hannezo and her 16 assists. Hannezo was also solid from the service line: she led the team with seven aces.

Edgewater's victory ended a nine-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-3. As for Freedom, they are on a four-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Looking ahead, Edgewater will take on East River at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Freedom, they will face off against Ocoee at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
