Volleyball Recap: Friendswood Now 24-2 over Last 26 Games

They were the clear victor by a 3-0 margin over the Port Neches-Groves Indians on Tuesday. The Mustangs have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Indians, too.

While Friendswood might've won, it sure wasn't easy: Port Neches-Groves scored at least 16 points in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-11, 25-16, 25-12.

Nadi'Ya Shelby paced Friendswood's offense, picking up 12 kills. Shelby got some help from Caroline Adams and her 23 assists. Gabby Palermo controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Friendswood has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 24 of their last 26 games, which provided a nice bump to their 36-8 record this season. As for Port Neches-Groves, their defeat dropped their record down to 28-18.

Friendswood will face off against Montgomery on Thursday. Montgomery will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Friendswood surely won't give up without a fight. Port Neches-Groves does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
