Baseball Recap: Marian Catholic Comes Up Short

After flying high against Mahanoy Area on May 8th, Marian Catholic came back down to earth. Marian Catholic fell just short of the Minersville Battlin' Miners by a score of 5-3 on Friday. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against Minersville this season, with their most recent defeat being a 4-3 loss on May 7th.

Marian Catholic now has a losing record of 10-11. As for Minersville, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-9 record this season.

Marian Catholic does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Minersville, they will challenge Schuylkill Haven at 7:30 p.m. on Sunday.
