Warden lost a heartbreaker the last time they played Columbia, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Thursday's matchup. The Cougars were the clear victors by a 13-2 margin over the Coyotes on Thursday. The Cougars might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six games by ten runs or more this season.

The victory was the fourth in a row for Warden, bringing their record up to 9-11. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.3 runs over those games. As for Columbia, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-12.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Warden beat the Coyotes by a score of 5-1 later that day.
