Baseball Game Preview: Los Angeles CES Unicorns vs. University Wildcats

For the second straight game, Los Angeles CES will face off against University. The Unicorns will host the Wildcats at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Los Angeles CES has three straight wins, University has four straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

Los Angeles CES is headed into the contest having just posted their closest victory since April 3, 2024 on Wednesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 4-3 win over University.

Los Angeles CES saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jack Stutz, who went 2-for-3 with three stolen bases. Stutz has become a key player for the Unicorns: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two stolen bases, but 4-8 otherwise. Ethan Martinez was another, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 1-for-3.

Los Angeles CES' victory bumped their record up to 7-8. As for University, their loss dropped their record down to 6-9.
