Soccer Recap: Milford's Undefeated Season over After Five Games

If Milford was riding high fresh off their 5-0 takedown of Kettering last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Mavericks came up short against the Walled Lake Northern Knights on Thursday, falling 3-0. Milford were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Walled Lake Northern apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in August of 2024.

Having lost for the first time this season, Milford fell to 3-1-1. As for Walled Lake Northern, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 4-1-1.

Coincidentally, Milford and Walled Lake Northern will both be playing South Lyon the next time they take the pitch. The Knights will host the Lions at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Mavericks will head out to face them at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
