Volleyball Recap: Jones Finds Home Court Redemption Against Karnes City

There's no place like home for Jones, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Saturday. They came out on top against the Karnes City Badgers by a score of 2-0 on Tuesday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Trojans also won the last time the pair played back in November of 2024.

The 2-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Jones was: they took both sets by at least 15 points. The match finished with set scores of 25-8, 25-10.

Harper Green paced Jones' offense, picking up eight kills. Green got some help from Khloe Avalos and her nine assists. Bailey Bondoc controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Jones' victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-2. As for Karnes City, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-4 record this season.

Coincidentally, Jones and Karnes City will both be playing Tuloso-Midway the next time they take the court. The Trojans will host the Warriors & Cherokees at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Badgers will play them later in the day, at 7:00 p.m.
