Football Recap: Fern Creek Finds Home Field Redemption Against Williamsburg

There's no place like home for Fern Creek, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They walked away with a 56-46 victory over the Williamsburg Yellow Jackets on Friday. Given the Tigers' advantage in MaxPreps' Kentucky football rankings (they are ranked 48th, while the Yellow Jackets are ranked 141st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Fern Creek has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-7 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 45.0 points over those games. Williamsburg's defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 9-4.

Coming up, Fern Creek will take on Great Crossing at 7:30 p.m. on February 28th. Fern Creek knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 31 points or more in their past four matchups -- so hopefully Great Crossing likes a good challenge. Williamsburg does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
