Volleyball Recap: Heritage Christian Eagles vs. Indianapolis Shortridge Blue Devils
Heritage Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Indianapolis Shortridge Blue Devils. While the Eagles didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Blue Devils 25-21 in the first set.
Heritage Christian wouldn't go down easily and took Indianapolis Shortridge into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking two-point loss. The match finished with set scores of 21-25, 25-14, 18-25, 25-20, 15-13.
Ben Bauer paced Heritage Christian's offense, picking up 13 kills. Bauer got some help from Ethan Gorny and his 18 assists. Bauer was also solid from the service line: he led the team with four aces.
