Volleyball Recap: Sayreville Comes Up Short

Sayreville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the North Plainfield Canucks. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Canucks this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-0 on April 9th.

Sayreville's defeat dropped their record down to 1-9. As for North Plainfield, their victory ended a nine-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-6.

Coming up, Sayreville will look to defend their home court on Monday against Plainfield at 4:00 p.m. As for North Plainfield, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 2-0 loss against New Brunswick on the 30th.
