Basketball Recap: Wiregrass Ranch Takes Down Land O' Lakes in a Playoff Battle

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Wiregrass Ranch had no problem doing just that on Tuesday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Land O' Lakes Gators, sneaking past 26-24. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Bulls have posted against the Gators since November 21, 2019.

Leading Wiregrass Ranch to victory were Andralee Keim and Tennae Cabral. Keim posted 13 points and eight boards, while Cabral scored six points along with ten rebounds and three steals. Cabral has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last four times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Natalee VanDamme, who had no points and five steals.

Jessi Saffold and Alex Nichols certainly did their best on Tuesday to avoid the loss. Saffold dropped a double-double on 13 points and ten steals, while Nichols earned nine points and five steals. That's the most steals Nichols has posted since back in December of 2024.

Wiregrass Ranch is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 13-9 record this season. As for Land O' Lakes, they have also been struggling recently as they've lost nine of their last 11 contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-14 record this season.

Wiregrass Ranch will challenge Mitchell on Thursday. Wiregrass Ranch will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak. Land O' Lakes does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
