Softball Recap: Littlefield's Luck Takes a Turn for the Worse on Thursday

After a string of five wins, Littlefield's good fortune finally ran out on Thursday. They fell just short of the Sundown Roughnecks by a score of 6-5. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Wildcats of the 8-7 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in February of 2023.

Littlefield saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Myli Hernandez, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.

Littlefield's defeat dropped their record down to 9-2. As for Sundown, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 5-1.

Coincidentally, Littlefield and Sundown will both be playing Pecos the next time they take the field. Littlefield will head out to face Pecos at 12:30 p.m. on Friday, while Sundown will play them later in the day, at 4:00 p.m.
