Dallas scored the most points they've had this season on Friday, but it wasn't enough. They and the Pittston Patriots were almost perfectly matched up, but the Mountaineers suffered a 36-35 loss. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Mountaineers came into the game with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania football rankings (they are ranked 132nd, while the Patriots are ranked 297th).

Pittston was led to victory by Brody Spindler and Lucas Lo Presto. Spindler rushed for 196 yards and two scores, while Lo Presto rushed for 57 yards and one TD on only five carries.

Dallas' defeat dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Pittston, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 4-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Dallas will challenge North Pocono at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Mountaineers will need to watch out since the Trojans have now posted at least 31 points every time they've taken the field this season. As for Pittston, they will square off against Crestwood at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Comets will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more points each contest than the last.
