Softball Recap: Minneapolis Continues Road Dominance on Monday

Minneapolis had won three straight on the road, but on Monday they bumped their record up to 3-2 to make it four. They walked away with a 7-2 victory over the Sylvan-Lucas Mustangs. The Lions haven't had any issues with the Mustangs recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.

As for Sylvan-Lucas, the loss snapped their winning streak at six games and leaves them with a 9-8 record. They were red-hot at the plate heading into the match (they scored no less than ten runs in the six contests prior), but Minneapolis' pitcher proved too tough.

For Sylvan-Lucas' part, Anna Feldkamp made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with two runs and one triple. The team also got some help courtesy of Montana Griffiths, who went 2-for-3 with one triple and two RBI.

Minneapolis will have a chance to go back-to-back against Sylvan-Lucas: the pair will be back at it again later today.
