Baseball Recap: Lincolnwood Comes Up Short

Lincolnwood lost against Taylorville back in March, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Lancers took a 6-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Tornadoes. The Lancers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Lincolnwood's loss dropped their record down to 17-8. As for Taylorville, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-7 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lincolnwood will welcome Edinburg at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Lancers are facing the Wildcats at the right time seeing as the Wildcats are stuck on a 14-game losing streak. As for Taylorville, they will challenge Charleston at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Tornadoes will also cruise into their next game with the timing on their side: the Trojans will have lost four straight heading into Saturday's contest.
