The Moss Point Tigers were the 57-47 winner over the Pass Christian Pirates when they last played one another back in January of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. Moss Point took a 56-41 bruising from Pass Christian on Tuesday.

When it comes to explaining why Moss Point lost, one person who can't be blamed is Quey'sean Taylor. Despite the final result, he scored 15 points along with nine rebounds. The game was Taylor's fifth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Treylan Anderson, who scored five points.

Moss Point's defeat dropped their record down to 12-10. As for Pass Christian, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 13-7.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Moss Point's road trip will continue as they head out to face Bay at 7:30 p.m. on January 12th. Bay and Moss Point are at an even 5-5 over their past ten head-to-heads. As for Pass Christian, they will head out on the road to face off against Greene County at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Greene County focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 14 on Tuesday.
