The South Mountain Jaguars won the last time they faced the Ironwood Eagles, and things went their way on Tuesday too. Everything went South Mountain's way against Ironwood as South Mountain made off with a 49-29 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for South Mountain.
Leading South Mountain to victory were Bry'ann Wiley and Asia Martin. Wiley dropped a double-double on 18 points and 11 rebounds, while Martin dropped a double-double on 18 points and 11 steals. That makes it four consecutive games in which Wiley has scored at least 25% of South Mountain's points.
South Mountain now has a winning record of 5-4. As for Ironwood, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-5.
South Mountain will be playing in front of their home fans against Mountain Pointe at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Mountain Pointe comes in still looking for their first win of the season. As for Ironwood, they will head out on the road to face off against Paradise Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Paradise Valley will be looking to keep their four-game home win streak alive.
