Baseball Game Preview: Marysville Bulldogs vs. Valley Heights Mustangs

The Marysville Bulldogs will challenge the Valley Heights Mustangs at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Marysville has given up an average of 10.2 runs per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Marysville gave up the first runs on Tuesday, but they didn't let that get them down. They walked away with a 16-11 victory over Chapman. That looming 16-11 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Bulldogs yet this season.

Marysville saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was JT Becker, who scored four runs and stole two bases while going 3-for-4. Grant Haefele was another, scoring three runs while going 2-for-4.

Fans were treated to a battle of the Mustangs on Monday. Valley Heights lost 18-3 to Doniphan West. Valley Heights has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Marysville's win bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Valley Heights, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-4.
